Kids Ministry

Rooted Kids ministries vision is PARTNERING WITH PARENTS TO MAKE DISCIPLES.

 Welcome to Rooted Kids Ministry, where our vision is to partner with parents in making disciples. We believe that parents are the primary disciple-makers in the lives of their children, and our hope is to come alongside parents in this mission. Our desire is to create an environment where children can grow in their relationship with Christ and partner with their parents in the discipleship process.

We offer several opportunities for your children to be engaged. During the 9:30 am service, we have Children's small groups where experienced teachers who love Jesus and are passionate about sharing His love with your child lead them in learning about God's Word.

During the 10:30 am Worship Service, we encourage families to worship together. After joining their families in song, the children are dismissed to Children's Church where they will be taught from God's Word by another experienced teacher, engage in more songs, and participate in other activities.

On Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm, we have a Family Night small group where several of our young families gather together for a meal. At 6:00 pm, the children head off to their small group that is full of fun and great lessons, while the parents break off into a discussion group where they can discuss home life, marriage, parenting, and finances.

Our desire is to integrate your children into the life of the church, where they can live out our mission with their parents and other adults. We are passionate about partnering with parents to make disciples and are excited to see how God will continue to work in the lives of our children through Rooted Kids Ministry

Student Ministry

• Wednesday, 6:00 PM

Welcome to the Student Ministry at First Baptist Church, where our primary responsibility is to partner with parents to love, serve, and disciple their children. We believe that students are an integral part of the FBC family and not a separate entity in the church.

Our desire is to provide a fun and engaging environment for students to experience the Gospel while being discipled by adult mentors and their peers. On Sunday mornings, we intentionally involve our students in our morning gathering by having them join with their families. We also disciple our students to get involved in some aspect of the church, such as volunteering in Rooted Kids ministry, on the tech team, in the worship team, on our guest service teams, as ushers, and several other areas. We believe it is essential for them to grow in the gifts God has given them as they serve and be part of our gatherings.

We have regular activities for teens to connect with one another, to be unified as a group, and, of course, to have lots of fun! Our students participate in events and activities that help them grow in their relationship with Christ and build lasting friendships.

We welcome all students from 6th-12th grade to join us as we embrace Christ and strive to be His disciples. Our passion is to see students grow in their faith and become lifelong followers of Christ, and we are excited to come alongside them on this journey.

Equip Classes

Equip classes at First Baptist Church, where we believe that enabling people to discover and develop their gifts is God's strategy for changing the world. Our Equip classes are designed to be small, instructor-led classes that encourage and promote spiritual growth and application.

Our Equip classes meet at the church building and are intended to be an additional resource to help you learn and grow in a specific course of study outside of your small group. We offer classes that cover a wide variety of topics related to Biblical literacy, Christian theology, finance, parenting, marriage, and gender-specific studies for men and women.

These classes typically run for anywhere between 7 and 15 weeks, and different classes will be offered each semester. Our desire is to create an environment where you can grow in your understanding of God's Word and be equipped to apply it to your daily life.

We believe that these classes will be a valuable resource in helping you take the next step in your faith journey. We invite you to join us and discover how Equip classes can help you grow in your relationship with Christ and in your ability to serve Him effectively.

Small Groups

Small Groups at First Baptist Church, where our desire is for everyone who calls FBC home to find lasting and purposeful community. Our Small Groups are designed to be a place where our Sunday gatherings are made small, and where you can belong, be cared for, and be strengthened in your journey with Jesus.

Small Groups are an essential part of the life of FBC. These groups are intentionally designed to provide an opportunity for you to study the Bible together, serve one another and our city together, find purposeful accountability, and engage in discipleship.

Our Small Groups are strategically structured to create an environment where you can grow in your faith alongside others who are walking a similar journey.
